From thoughts to action…

“ You should have thought before acting “

Did you ever heard this sentence, did you experience yourself this flow of good thoughts and perfect plan that never transform into actions or that land on the field when the very good initial thought is outdated.

If you right in the comment “ never seen that “ you might have to re think, no sorry Re act ;)

Because yes, looking at this little cute boy, my son, I was trying to guess what could he be thinking while drawing on this board. My conclusion was obvious : his action was building his thoughts and not the opposite. Have you ever seen those kids starting a line on the paper not knowing when and where it will end and how it will looks like ?

True it is not necessarily giving the perfect drawing. But in drawing like in picture what really count is the expression of a feeling, a point of view, an instant and the overthinking process can just kill this magic.

As long as we accept and embrace failure as a growth there’s no reason to be afraid. Of course it’s very hard to truly fail with only thoughts but is there a way to succeed without action ?

That’s also what I could experience in my personal and professional life and where I decided to invest my energy on doing, on sharing this passion for trying, not without thinking a bit for sure but yes as I’m writing now and this simple action is triggering my thoughts. Opening this blog and talking to you now I started a drawing not really thinking how it will look like…

Love you my little boy….

Tell me. Any experience in your life on in your photography process where you’ve been learning by doing and not overthinking ?

Lets talk tech :

oh that’s a very classic one. For sure the framing of a beginner, a super risky 1/50 s that doesn’t make the photo sharp enough but a very good lens ( that should have been at 1,8) and more importantly the magic of a moment shared with this little boy…
